Staff shortage worsens: Risk of 100 – 200 Indian restaurants closing down

Kuala Lumpur, May 4 – Datuk J. Govindasamy (Suresh), the president of the Malaysian Indian Restaurant Owners Association, stated yesterday that about 100 to 200 Indian restaurants face the risk of closure if the government fails to resolve the ongoing labor shortage in restaurants.

He also noted that an Indian Minister is needed to represent them in order to truly understand the feelings and sentiments of Indian businessmen.
